Challah Bake - The Shabbos Project
The Event Story
This year Sight and Sound in Cape Town had the privilege of supporting an incredible event. The Jewish Community world wide has decided to join together and Keep one Shabbos all together. There will be over 1 million people all doing this all around the world. It is known as “The Shabbos Project”
In the week before the Shabbos, which is celebrated from Friday Evening till Saturday Night, women from their communities get together to bake bread that is eaten on the Shabbos, known as Challah. Communities all around the world got together to bake Challah.
Sight and Sound provided sound, video, lighting and the back up for the band and speakers and the magic
We were overwhelmed that 1200 women came to bake and enjoy themselves with a band, speeches and the most wonderful aroma throughout Company Gardens.
Thanks to Smartlab and Mama Creative for allowing us to be part of this event.
